Redesigned shopfronts in the centre of Stirling
Stirling City Heritage Trust instigated a trial shopfront repair and improvement scheme around King Street, piloting grants for the owners of historic shopfronts and ground floor property. Condition and Proposals reports were carried out on more than a dozen properties and seven shops were carried forward. These included new replacement shopfronts, repair and improvement of historic features and signs, alterations and repairs and the renewal of two marble clad shopfronts. Since completing the repairs the Trust has promoted a wider grant scheme for King Street, focusing on repairs to upper floors as well as at street level.
